That's a relief. And hopefully I'll not miss my presentation. Although normally I like papers. Hmmm. Yeah, I think my imagination can work that well too.

Oh yes. We'll have to go out when you get back. On maybe like a date? *laughs* I bet you have. I know, hon. We should. We have three of us at least. Parker's looking at Harvard too; she might want to come along too.

Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. Maybe Sunday, or early the next week? We've never been on one of those, have we? Or did prom count? They deserve it. Well. They don't, but I want to anyway. Parker and Rory. Maybe we should just take it up with the admins Principal Washburn?

I know. I was really disappointed I couldn't get in this last semester. And I don't go around asking for extra papers. That's an ugly, unsubstantiated rumor Huh. There's not even sunscreen in mine.

Any day will probably work. Although I'm not sure if Caritas is open on Sunday's. But we'll work around that. I think prom might count. But a non-school-sponsored event thing might be nice You're evil hon, and I love you for it. Possibly not Rory. She's convinced that she wants to go to Harvard, so she doesn't think she'll visit. Unless she's visited before; I don't know. We'll do that when you get back.

Ching Tai is good, yeah. It would, definitely. I'm smiling again just thinking of it I know. This is Rory we're talking about. As I said, she might have already visited. She did live in Connecticut, so she wasn't that far to go.

Yeah, I'm sure it'll work. International relations isn't quite as easy to research as genetics and quantum physics, y'know. It's more about the practicalities, which I'm slightly hampered from doing at the moment. I think I'm more interested in where you're going to finish. Purely for my health, of course

You can be very charming. And persuasive. I don't know, I suppose you could see what's going on in the world right now? I don't know these things. I'm fairly sure I'd ask you to turn over and I'd get sunscreen all over there, and then I'd lose track of what I was doing.

It's one of my many talents, honed during years of work. I read three papers a day, and either put on BBC News 24 or check their website. I can write a reaction piece or editorial to most of the political stories out there. And then because we'd made a mess of the sunscreen, we should probably retire in doors, right?

Good. We don't need to be nervous. Really. It's not as if we're not friends already, and we've eaten together before and it shouldn't be different just because it's a date. I guess I'm still not used to compliments. Can I ask you to Homecoming now to make up for the last minute invite to Prom?

Yeah, but you use those talents on me for fun. How do I manage to miss that every day? Or am I too busy with my own research? Such a mess. We'd be slippery. Going indoors would be the only solution.

Mmm, yes and I'm very fond of doing so. I tend to do it when your nose is stuck in one of your textbooks, yes. I do the crosswords too. We'd have to clean each other up too, I think. Because it would be unsafe to be that slippery

Nine months is a really short amount of time. Wow. But I know you really well for only having known you nine months. Which is kind of a shame, because I like when you blush. Why are you going to wait?

Well, that's good because I don't want you beside the bed. I know it is, dear. They're not too bad, most of the time. Although sometimes they'll slip and spell a name wrong or something. Oh, yes. I don't know about you, but I'm always appreciative of an extra hand or two in the shower

I guess a lot of it is to do with the fact we're living together. It's not like we just see each other for work, or go out to coffee a couple of times a week. I'm trying not to blush again here. And if I wait, I get to ask you in person. With kisses.

I'd really rather not be there either. Are you doing those shoulder exercises I *handwavily* gave you? I like studying, especially if it's one of my own projects. And that explains the bouts of swearing in Russian at the paper, doesn't it? Yes. Hands. Which I'd use to lather up every inch of you.

I am. Mostly. Okay, I'd probably do them if you weren't asking. But as you are going to be asking, then I'll definitely be doing them, so it's a moot point. It is. Because the whole studying for fun thing is difficult to explain to those who don't get it. Because then other people understand me. Also? Russian can be very expressive. Yeah, me too. Why do you have to be so far away right now?

Oh, I think the effort that will be put into it will be more than equal to it.

Well, I'm not getting out of it. I'd do them now, except I'm lying in bed and it's a bit difficult to do like that. Because it might be at a time when I need to be watching my language. Or because I might actually be insulting someone around me and not wanting them to even risk overhearing. Not that I do that. *coughs* Really. I guess I can forgive you for that.
