Sleepless Nights and Solitaire

"Other than possibly let muppet chickens sleep on her bed while she's gone? Nothing much," Marty quipped. "Not that it happened while you were gone but... it's a possiblity."

"Rumor has it that we were invaded by muppet chickens let in by some freaky blue dog that you had," said Janet. "Whatever happened to that, anyway? And yes, I'd love a latte. Also, Liz, I'd probably get stuck TAing both of Dr. Pierson's classes, so please don't vanish on me."

Elizabeth dropped her head in her hands and groaned. "Muppet chickens? Freaky blue dog? Do I even want to know?"

She looked across at Janet. "That better not be the only reason you don't want me to vanish."

"Of course not," said Janet, winking at Liz. "It's also because you're cute and I'd miss you."

Okay, now how was she going to sit up and lean back against her headboard without showing off she was in pain? Damn. Very, very slowly, that was how.

Elizabeth laughed. "I like that reason better," she grinned.

With perfect timing, she leant across towards her bedside table and began rummaging amongst the items there.

"I was hoping so," said Janet, giggling along with Liz. "You're back! We should have a party to celebrate. You know, just the Colorado Springs people." ~~Because I have the slowplay all set up and I was just waiting for you to get back online.~~

Janet hoped Marty wasn't paying too much attention right now. She bit her lip--hard--to suppress a cry of pain and hauled herself so that she was sitting upright. When she leaned back against the headboard of her bed, she sighed in relief.

Ow. Ow, ow, ow. She hated vampires. A lot.

"A party sounds good," Elizabeth nodded, grabbing her hand cream. "It's been far too long since I've let my hair down and had fun. ~~*is totally online apart from work now until February something*~~

"Tell me about it," said Janet. Her grin was just slightly mischievous. "So, should we call everyone and go wild?"

~~Yay! And damn it, there's an Event going on this weekend in-game!~~

Elizabeth laughed. "Damn straight," she said, nodding firmly.

~~There is! Hopefully access won't be too bad. I'm just thankful it's not next weekend, because hello Pegasus One!~~

I would point out that I'm only doing three this year, that I've booked, but that still sounds awful *g* I won't be at one until August after this though *g*

"The gremlins are tricky," said Janet. "I hope they haven't developed an appetite for dog. We should warn Angel. Thanks for the latte, by the way."

"No problem. Here you go," Marty says holding out the mug which seems to be just out of reach.

From:

Janet smiled at Marty. "Thanks," she said, fumbling under the blankets for her jeans. "Can you set it on my night table for me?"

Then she spotted them lying on the floor next to her bed. Damn it.

Noticing the glance, Marty put the cup on the table and tossed her jeans on the bed.

"Need me to pull closed my privacy curtain Fraiser? ~~That I'm just handwaving that I put up but said I would in an earlier post.~~"
