Elizabeth woke up in her room.

Which she hadn't for the last few days.

She sat up, blinking and looking confused.

That was odd.

[[ooc: Various RL issues cropped up over the last few days, and really, my brain isn't working well enough to come up with any fun reason as to why she disappeared for x-many days. Thankfully she's from the Stargate universe, so blame Asguard/NID/USAF/*insert alien conspiracy here*]]

She nodded. "Of course I'm glad to see you. Course, I'd also be glad to see you somewhere else, but here's good."

Elizabeth paused for a moment. "Okay, I need coffee. And I don't know what you'd do without me. Have one less person to share chocolate with?"

"Coffee? Bah! We've got an espresso machine in here now. Who wants a latte?"

"Oh, good god, yes please!"

One might get the impression that she's not had caffiene in a couple of days.

"What? Didn't you have coffee wherever you were?" Marty asks as he sets up the machine to brew and heads toward his mini-fridge to grab the milk.

"Noooo," Elizabeth replies slowly. "Coffee wasn't really a part of the whole experience."

"So are you going to tell me where you *did* go, or am I going to have to guess?" Marty asked as he steamed the milk and poured it into the cup with the espresso. "Light or heavy foam?"

"Light please," Elizabeth said, her brain trying to work quickly. "Some stuff came up unexpectedly, and I had to make sure it was done. I wasn't in any one place really."

"Yeah... I can understand that," Marty said thinking back to his trip home over the weekend. "I was gone all weekend myself taking care of... stuff."

Marty hands over the latte and starts to work on Janet's drink.

"Thank you," she said, cupping the mug and inhaling the aroma gratefully. She didn't ask about the stuff. Because that would lead to questions about her own stuff.

So she concentrated on the coffee instead. Mmm coffee.
