239/240 - Saturday lunchtime onwards

After her trip to the clinic, Elizabeth slowly returned to the room, limping.

"Borrowing" pillows off some of the other beds in the room, she placed them on her bed and rested her leg on them, leaning back against her headboard.

Grabbing a bottle of water, she took the recommended dosage of painkillers and settled back with the latest issue of Time

Sam knocked on the door. She'd had enough of herself and wormholes for the time being.

"Hello?" Elizabeth called, turning over the next page.

"It's Sam," she called back.

"Come on in," Elizabeth replied, closing her magazine, and placing it down on the bed.

Aeryn comes back to the room proving that omg she does still live here, takes one look at Elizabeth and asks, "What happened to you?"

Elizabeth smiled up at her. "I strained my calf muscle last night, running with Cam," she said. "How are you?"

"In one piece," she says. "Spent some time with Cam this morning. I'm a little afraid I won't recognize him as a human when this is over."

Elizabeth nodded. "I know what you mean. Hopefully it'll wear off soon. I miss my favorite boy."

"Hey hey party people," Kawalsky greeted. He was much more chirpy than yesterday and he had a glint in his eye. Yep, he was definitely up to something. He dropped his bag on his bed and then pulled out two cartons of ice cream and a couple of spoons. "There's always someone in here, so I figured this stuff wouldn't go to waste." He offered them to whoever wanted to take them and then dropped down onto the floor near Liz's bed. "What happened?"

"Hey, there," Elizabeth smiled at him, and held out her hand for ice-cream.

She rolled her eyes. "Strained calf muscle. I'm an idiot who didn't warm up properly before running yesterday with Cam. It's no big deal."

Charlie passed a tub of ice cream up to Liz with a spoon. "Okay," he said with a smile. "So what's new, aside from not warming up properly and getting to rest and getting ice cream?"

Elizabeth pulled off the top of the tub, and looked down at it. "I heard there was another contraversial topic in ethics," she said quietly, her voice deceptively casual.

She didn't look at Charlie.

Janet slipped inside the room and tossed her backpack in a corner. "Hey, guys," she said. "What a boring day."

Elizabeth waved from over by the bed.

"Boring can sometimes be good around this place," she pointed out.

"Hey Janet," Charlie said. "We have ice cream."

"And suddenly things are looking up," said Janet. "What kind?"

"Something with chocolate.. and something else without chocolate."

Parker knocks on the door, carrying a bottle of white zin. "Anyone up for... ooo. Ice cream?"

"Hey, Parker!" Elizabeth waved from her spot on the bed. "Charlie bought it... Sam has the non-chocolate stuff, and the chocolate stuff's here."

"Chooooocolate," Parker said, taking a pillow and collapsing down on the floor. "Would be lovely. Tell me you're having good days, please."

Elizabeth waved her spoon at her propped up leg. "Not too bad, all things considering. Insane conversation, explaining various holidays to Aeryn... that was interesting."

Her eyes narrowed slightly. "Although I did learn some very interesting things on the phone with Rory earlier."

"Hey, Parker," Sam said, waving her spoon. "Yeah, pretty good. We're starting our own island nation. Wanna come?"

"It *has* been a while, hasn't it? Heh. Yeah, I'm fine." She grabbed a spoon. "And in the mood to damage some frozen dairy products. How's your day going?"
