Elizabeth knocked on the door to Charlie's room, already in her PJ's and dressing gown and clutching a small blue book in her other hand.

"Hey," Charlie said when he answered the door. "Sleepover?"

Elizabeth nodded. "I just needed to get away from that room," she said quietly, stepping closer to him.

"Don't blame you. I don't want any of you in there with him, but it'd get a little crowded in here with everyone. I'd offer you the other bed, but Boy Wonder's home. I can sleep on the couch if you want a good night's sleep."

Elizabeth shook her head. "No, I want you," she said, wrapping her arm around him and leaning her forehead against his chest. Her voice was muffled as she continued "Maybe you'll help keep the nightmares away."

Charlie led her inside and closed the door behind her, then wrapped his arms around her and placed a kiss on the top of her head. "Okay. It's getting late. Let's get some sleep, huh?"
