Saturday morning - Returning to Colorado

If she really wanted to admit it to herself, Elizabeth was slightly nervous.

She had slept badly the night before (well, even worse than the previous nights), tossing and turning.

She didn't know if she was more scared of the tests finding something, or finding nothing.



[[ooc: Liz is heading back to the SGC to see doctors there, trying to find reasons for the period of missing time she had a couple of weeks ago, and also, why she keeps dreaming of Atlantis. As such, she obviously won't be in Fandom, so this is the last time you'll be able to talk to her - and even then only briefly. Unless you call, I guess *g*]]

"Door's open," Elizabeth called, eying a couple of books.

"Hey. Just came to see you before you went."

Elizabeth smiled at Charlie, before crossing the room to wrap her arms around him, leaning her head on his chest.

"I'm stupidly worried," she confessed quietly.

"Hey, it'll be okay. The docs will give you the once over and tell you what's up."

"But what if they don't know what's up?" Elizabeth asked quietly. "Or what if it's something that we can't do anything about?"

"Then they'll call someone else in who will know. They're not gonna leave you hanging and they know some of the best people in the world at this stuff. And if they use up all their contacts and still can't figure it out, then we'll figure it out. We'll go hunt down whatshisname little gray guy if we have to. There's gotta be someone's universe from here who can help. We just have to keep trying."

"I'm being stupid, aren't I?" Elizabeth sighed.

"Nah. Something weird happened and you're worried about what it might be. But it'll be fine. We'll work it out, even if we have to go and kick whatshisname's ass to get some answers."

She managed to smile. "Okay then. Thanks, Charlie."

He kissed the top of her head and hugged her. "S'what I'm here for. I'll have my phone on all weekend. Call me if you need me, okay?"

Elizabeth nodded. "Will do," she mumbled. "I hope I'll be okay as Janet's gonna be with me."

He hugged her again. "You'd better get packed."

Elizabeth pulled away from him, nodding as she brushed at her eyes. "Uh, yeah," she agreed. "I don't really need much thankfully."

"Don't forget snacks. The SGC's mess has got nothin' on the cafeteria here."

"Janet and I are going to get Thai," Elizabeth nodded. "We've already decided on that."
