Yawning widely, Elizabeth quietly slipped inside the dorm room and lowered her bag to the floor. Letting her eyes adjust to the dark, she peeled off her clothes as she crossed the room to slip into bed next to Janet.

Elizabeth gently kissed Janet, slowly moving her hand away.

"You'd have to talk the President into upping my clearance," murmured Janet, smiling as she wrapped her arms around Liz. "Mmm."

Elizabeth gently nuzzled at Janet's neck. "We could just keep you away from the meetings. It'd be fine," she smiled.

Janet shook her head. "I can't, you know that," she said, sighing. "I missed you, but I can't just go along someplace and be a leech."

Elizabeth pulled away, frowning slightly. "I didn't mean it like that, you know," she said. "Besides, I ended up on Air Force One for over twenty-four hours for two five-minute conversations. You wouldn't be any more of a leech than a dozen people on that plane."

"I didn't think you had meant it like that," said Janet. She sighed. "I don't want you to ask for special favors just because I'm your girlfriend."

Elizabeth rested her head on top of Janet's and rubbed her back, sighing. "It wouldn't be a special favor," she said. "And even if it was, it's not as if I'm not owed some by now."

"I really couldn't," said Janet. "No matter how desperately I miss you when you're not here. If you can ever think of something for me to do, that would be a different story, hon."

"Don't be," said Elizabeth, nuzzling the top of Janet's head. "I'm overtired and saying whatever pops into my head at the moment."

"Why would I be mad?" asked Elizabeth. "It's not like I'd go to the infirmary and sit there when you've been asked to deal with a crisis."

Elizabeth shook her head, cuddling closer. "Don't be," she said. "The solution to all this is for me to just stay in Fandom with you. Which I definitely like the idea of, m'okay?"

Elizabeth shifted against her slightly, intertwining their legs. "Did I miss anything much?"

"Aside from my previously-mentioned adventures in mistaken identity, nothing, really," said Janet. "It's been awfully quiet."

"That's good to know," said Elizabeth, her hand moving down to rest on Janet's hip. "I was just imagining the island being invaded or something while I wasn't here."
