Elizabeth was currently waging war.

On her closet.

Having obviously grown since she had ended up in this body, last summer's clothes were starting to look pretty indecent on her.

And having procrastinated about it for long enough, Elizabeth had decided that she was going to sort out her clothes now.

And then have a shopping trip to completely rebuild her wardrobe.

"I should hope so," said Elizabeth lightly.

"Funny thing," said Janet, leaning over to kiss Liz. "You always seem to know whether I mean it or not."

Elizabeth smiled, nipping at Janet's lower lip. "If you mean it, I'll be hiding," she said.

Janet's hand tightened briefly on Liz's hip. "One of the reasons I fell for you is because you're smart," she said.

"Back atcha there, hon," Elizabeth murmured, smiling as she rested her forehead against Janet's.

Janet giggled. "Who ever knew being a genius would come in handy for that?" she asked.

"Who knew indeed," said Elizabeth, still grinning. "But I'm definitely glad it did."

"Me too," said Janet. "Obviously. Do we have any plans this weekend? I can't think of anything besides Jarod's party tonight."

"There's a talent show tomorrow afternoon as well," said Elizabeth, thinking. "But I don't think there's anything else."

"Thank God I didn't get shanghaied into that one as well," said Janet. "Do we know who's in it yet?"

Elizabeth giggled. "What would you have done?" she asked. "I don't have a clue. I guess it'll be a surprise."

"Performed surgery? Cured a plague? I have no idea." Janet shook her head, and maybe looked a bit panic-stricken too. "It'll be fun to watch. And to make fun of, of course."

Elizabeth continued giggling. "Making fun is always necessary at these things," she agreed.

"Partly because we're relieved it's not us?" asked Janet. "At least you could have given a speech or something."

"Absolutely," nodded Elizabeth. "Yeah, and I'd have done it in another language just to spite whoever would have made me sign up!"

"That's because you're evil, honey," said Janet, kissing her. "Other languages! I nearly forgot. We haven't gone looking for the Ancient dictionary yet."

"I do try," grinnned Elizabeth. "Ooh. Yes. Maybe we could do that this weekend?"

"You're very good at it," said Janet, snickering. "Yes, I think that's a good idea. I need to check in on things anyway."

"Thanks," laughed Elizabeth, kissing her again. "Excellent. And, um, weren't we planning on taking advantage of his bathtub while we were there?" Her fingers stroked down Janet's spine.

Janet shivered. "We were, yes," she said. "I have been looking forward to it."

"Mmmm, me too," murmured Elizabeth, a slow smile spreading across her face. "So is that going to be our weekend? A dictionary hunt and a bath?"

"A very long bath," said Janet, her voice low. "With bubbles. And incredibly hot water. I'm not sure where the dictionary's hidden, but I'll bet we can find it."

"Mmm, absolutely," agreed Elizabeth, slipping her leg between Janet's. "We can share a bottle of wine too."

"Sounds perfect," said Janet, sighing with her lips parted softly. She moved closer to Liz. "Don't you think?"
