Elizabeth was currently waging war.

On her closet.

Having obviously grown since she had ended up in this body, last summer's clothes were starting to look pretty indecent on her.

And having procrastinated about it for long enough, Elizabeth had decided that she was going to sort out her clothes now.

And then have a shopping trip to completely rebuild her wardrobe.

"Yeah, I've pretty much given up on makeup too," said Elizabeth, grinning. "The only thing that seemed to last on Atlantis was eyeliner."

"That's really odd," said Janet. She frowned as she thought about it. "Did you ever figure out why?"

"I didn't really have that much time to think about it," said Elizabeth, grinning.

"I can imagine things were almost non-stop. That wasn't around when--" Jante paused. "You know, I don't think I ever asked exactly when it was you, Shep, and McKay had that accident with Ancient technology."

"It was only me in my universe," said Elizabeth, smiling ruefully. "It was last August. I'm coming up on my year anniverary in this new body."

"I like this new body," said Janet, smiling softly. She reached out to trace Liz's face. "And maybe it's selfish of me, but I'm glad that happened to you."

"I definitely don't mind it as much as I thought I was going to," admitted Elizabeth, smiling up at Janet.

"It's a lot easier to deal with when you've got other people," said Janet, blushing faintly. "I'm not as alone as I was when I came here."

"Definitely not alone," said Elizabeth firmly.

"I know. I'm not alone now." Janet shook her head. "But enough of that. How much clothing are you planning on buying in New York?" Then her eyes widened. "How much clothing are you planning on making me buy in New York?"

Elizabeth smiled mischeviously. "It'll depend how often we'll get out of the hotel room really."

"Talk about incentive for staying in the room," murmured Janet.

Elizabeth giggled, reaching her hand up to cup Janet's face. "We will have to leave a couple of times at least," she said.

"We do?" Janet pouted. "That's not fair. What will we need to leave for?"

"I want to kiss you on top of the Empire State building," said Elizabeth, smiling up at her. "And walk hand-in-hand through Central Park."

"Oh," said Janet. She smiled slowly. "Okay, then. You've talked me into it."

Elizabeth gently stroked her thumb along Janet's cheekbone. "That's good to hear," she said softly.

Janet leaned into Liz's touch. "You know you can talk me into anything," she murmured, her eyes fluttering closed.

"Mmm, yes," smiled Elizabeth, sitting up and wrapping her arms around Janet. She started to lay back on the bed. "Lie down with me."

"You don't even need to try talking me into that," said Janet, lying down and letting her hand rest on Liz's hip. "There. Is that better?"

"Yep," said Elizabeth, leaning across to briefly kiss Janet. "We don't do this enough."

"Not nearly enough." Janet grinned. "You know, this skirt is awfully short on you," she said, her fingertips trailing along the soft fabric.

Elizabeth looked down, grinning herself. "I know," she said. "You should have seen how tight some of the shirts are too."

"You should probably save some of those," said Janet, nodding firmly. "You know, for laundry days. Or just in case."

Elizabeth giggled, shifting closer. "Just in case, huh?"
